I'd say it has like three to four good songs. New Order fell off rather quickly albumwise imo but remained somewhat consistent when it comes to singular songs.
I agree but that’s also why I always compliment Republic cause of how much I connect with it. They perfectly connected with a new generation by entirely eliminating the line between post-punk and post-disco thanks to the rave scene. The music is either hectic or despondent with no inbetween and Bernard uses rapping very well in places where just plain singing wouldn’t fit.
Cure, Smiths, and New Order were all consistent through the 80’s. They didn’t fall off.

taking the mid-late 80s over early 80s all day
How tf is that all you've got for PCL?! No Age of Consent or Leave Me Alone?
yea even though every song is a f***ing banger, there is that underlying darker tone to most songs. Especially something like It Just Won't Quit. So happy I found that album, a rare moment I remember my first listen, sitting alone in my first apartment just in awe of each track, thinking there will be a weak moment and here never is.

Hell no, her version of It's all coming back to me is utter trash. Even Meat Loaf's version is better because it at least keeps the dynamics of the song
There is so much going on his songs while still keeping them cohesive

lol
well i named him after Saruman The White (whom Gandalf called Saruman The Wise once) but there is also dirty hippie wizard Radagast The Brown who just does shrooms all day
I'm a bit irritated by the wise and offended by the brown but this context makes me appreciate both for some reason. I'd rather be a hippie than a wise tho.
However, the list of albums i love that you shat on is very long so keep quiet on that front.
Yeezus has grown on me even though I don't think it's an all encompassing masterpiece. I liked it alot when it came out but the longer Ye's career progressed I noticed a huge dip of depth and creativity in Ye's music because he wanted to go more "minimal" and less "maximalist". Yeezus appeared like the first indicator of that which made me dislike it retrospectively. However, the album doesn't deserve it because it so openly plays around with concepts of "bad art".
I've listened to The Beatles like perhaps as much as any new gen rock fan or even more so. eeh I'm not going on a Beatles rant now tho.

tbh I actually like that album too because of what you said here. Not as much as PC&L or Low-Life but it would sit at #3 for me (as for their studio albums. I often forget to include Substance there).
