for some reason it took me until last 80s poll to realize that Nebraska is so beloved here. I actually thought that Born to Run and The River would have been fam's picks before.

I didn't realize that there were such fervent River stans until I was in here

  • jk but these Disintegration listens have been great and will probably sneak it in later

same with Nebraska for me. Before this thread I thought it was universally agreed upon that Born to Run and Darkness are his best albums.

Nebraska was my gateway to loving Springsteen. Before that he was just the Born in the USA guy to me.

same but with Darkness on the Edge of Town for me. However, that album is a bit too inconsistent looking back imo.

Highway Patrolman is my favorite Springsteen song and one of my favorite songs of all time. Everything else on the album is great too but it all sort of stems from that song if that makes sense. Like that’s the heart of it and everything else is growing from it. It’s just really focused and consistent. I’ll just never be one of these guys who prefers longer albums simply cause they’re packed with more great songs.

  • How did I forget to re-listen to Meat Puppets II

Same. I gave it a listen this week cause I saw it high on a few people's lists and it's nowhere near his best imo
