RH only has somber ballads on their side if I’m putting them against each other
I like somber ballads
One of my earliest rock and roll memories is my sister asking my neighbor who was babysitting us what Bob Dylan meant when he said everybody must get stoned (I think she was being coy and knew looking back but I definitely wasn't aware of weed yet) and my neighbor being fast on his feet told us it was a biblical term for throwing stones at someone till they died :elon: probably should've just told us it was d**** tbh
wonder if it ever crossed his mind why it was such a joyful sounding tune

Le Samourai (1967) (One of your faves
)
Gun Crazy (1950)
Johnny Guitar (1954)
Mauvais Sang (1986)
Le diable probablement (1977)
Station to Station – David Bowie
Blonde on Blonde – Bob Dylan
College Dropout – Kanye West
Dirty – Sonic Youth (fitting with all the SY hate in here rn)
Peepshow – Siouxsie & TB
top 5's always hard to do

man this a great flick. saw this when I was really young and I had absolutely no idea what was going on but loved it. Viggo is the man

im not in the business of calling anything the best in that regard but it's def my favorite, but then again i might change my mind in 2 months and say DDN
ranaldo got two amazing tracks on dirty though so that's v persuasive
@Elric
yeah u were def right about 'about endlessness'. it doesn't really hit like the other andersson's
the images are gorgeous as usual but the vignettes, people and dialogue aren't nearly as interesting as in the other three films
still tho it's always nice to see a fake stockholm that's supposed to be 2019 but modeled after the 80s

Kim's vocals on there are a bit much for me sometimes
New Weeknd album is solid 80’s influenced pop. I think he does that sound really well and I prefer it to his earlier atmospheric Drake on pain pills style but there’s something still so phony about him. Even his voice sounds like it was created in a lab.

it’s a love or hate thing, especially on that album

Oh he was probably stoned as s*** and just didn't want to have to be the one to explain d**** to us understandably

Yeah agree completely. Love the production but his voice leaves me feeling so empty
