    First name is even Thomas

Hated how new Smith was calling him Tom instead of Mr. Anderson

I don't think they were about to compete with Pulp and Suede and Oasis' relentless deluge of classics

They didn’t have a fair chance tho
Also they could still carve a niche out for themselves like the replacements did with their last 3 albums

Easily could’ve been both. I’ve only heard them blame the label but they could’ve pulled some s*** like the Happy Mondays did in 24 hour party people

A lot of stuff doesn’t feel as old as it actually is but that does for some reason. Feels like he’s been gone for a long time.

Any of you ever heard the 1979 album Dreamin’ Wild by Donnie and Joe Emerson. Had it described to me as a boy band from a David Lynch film and I totally get it. Slightly eerie pop, like somethings quite off but it fits the atmosphere.

Man I knew Bernard Hermann was a goat for all his Hitchcock scores but I didn't realize he did Citizen Kane to f***ing Taxi Driver and finished that the day before he died holy

    Sisters too

Crazy that Peter Bogdanovich was just about to direct a film starring Bob Saget and Norm McDonald as two brothers reuniting in old age after they find out their sick mother played by Betty White is in the hospital. Come to think of it I’m pretty sure Sidney Poitier was cast as the guy Betty’s character had an affair with years ago which was the cause for the family dysfunction in the first place. Would have been a really wild picture. What a shame.
