youre really not gonna like it :kendricklaff:
obv Sister Ray gets a spot but this list usually no more than cd length so it had to go

at least you have one of my other favorite lyrical masterpieces on there in I'll be Your Mirror
Rock and Roll has easily my favorite lyrics about the topic of rock (and maybe music in general) so it always hits hard. also always got a tiny bonus point because one of my favorite childhood/teenage games Civilization 4 featured a quote from it when you discovered the Radio technology. recognized that quote before i was even a rock fan
I still do like VU s/t a good bit but none of those songs would make a top VU list for me. (and only R&R from loaded)
@Elric at least you're not proclaiming some truly outlandish s*** like Professor Skye putting Transformer Man as his #1 Neil Young song oat and Everybody Knows... not being a top 10 album of his in the video i just watched
seven
donda the only one with more than a few amazing tracks
i got a handful of 8.5/10 albums from 2021, most of which I'm sure will graduate to 9/10 status eventually

I do love Transformer Man
id allow it

i mean i like it and i can accept any lifelong stans opinion as above mine
think im just not enough years deep in my Neil fandom yet to fully grasp Trans

That dude is a wack job

did you see one of his overly rabid Kanye videos or something

Yeah when he said Ye's first 3 albums "aren't real Kanye albums" cause he wasn't really Kanye yet or some s***. As if College Dropout isn't one of the most personal, heartfelt, relateable debuts ever. Kanye to the core.

Some decent videos here and there but there’s something off about him

i mean it kinda just seems like he takes the (true) idea that Kanye reached peak/different status with MBDTF-> Yeezus to a crazy level. i feel like i often see him espouse some seemingly crazy opinion like that that he later corrects or articulates better because he doesnt edit his videos or anything like that.
only thing that annoys me is the clickbait he puts in his thumbnails sometimes with some outrageous statement that he doesnt actually mean

he is definitely a victim of being overly intellectualizing/analytical with his videos but I don't mind it because I think he's totally aware of it and really isnt trying to be pretentious, its just his background as an academia nerd and he likes going over the top
Yea it's called PCP
no more slandering my husbando
I can see people saying VU isnt on the level of the first two but it’s just such a comfy late night listen with a couple great hard hitters thrown in for good measure.
VU one of the few bands with three 10/10’s all for different moods

you prefer the Valentin mix or Closet mix?
you prefer the Valentin mix or Closet mix?
Overall probably the closet mix but I like to listen to both. The Valentin mix’s version of what goes on is infintely better tho and that’s one of my fave VU songs.
Cant say the same for raw power though, iggy mix all the way
impressed by anyone sitting through a 50 min yt video titled Arca and the dignity of abjection
