Before my rewatch session I thought it was on par with them but I think now that he too much tried to tell a story and he's not that good at it. His strength lies elsewhere. Still an amazing film. every Tark is imo. He has probably the most consistently great feature filmography I can think of. Not one dud or anything close to it. Solaris is still one of my Top 30 or so Sci Fi films.
almost expected Knight Of Cups style self parody with Sacrifice but no its was real deal Tark
just wish it was done in his native tongue and land
that Hitch marathon
@atl @pneumonia @RVI @basedspirit stay ready
Cater for different time zones please...
Watching Newman and Costanza on the same scene for the first time in seven seasons felt just as great as watching Al Pacino and De Niro on the same scene on Heat for the first time

Finished DS3, I wouldn't put it on Bloodborne level but overall it was a great game. Some parts were excellent while others were tedious. DS1 isnt really my style so im sure I missed a lot of nostalgia moments with this one. The bosses were kinda hit or miss for me too, my fav by far was Sister Friede and that whole Ashes of Ariandel level. That Dark Dragon was definitely the hardest challenge for me.
ordered my first 3 Criterions
No Mirror on Crit though
they got Stalker tho and that s*** slaps
one of my fav films tbh

I love DS3, even more than Bloodborne but they're both masterpieces. I definitely spent the most time on Nameless King and Sister Friede my first run. Midir (the dragon) only took me a few tries. I was using an ultra greatsword and just kept bonking him on the head haha.
Gael is one of my favorite bosses ever. He's not even that hard, just thematically he's so f***ing cool and fun to fight. Plus storywise that fight takes place like thousands of years in the future and you and him are the only living things left on the planet so he is technically the true last boss/end of the whole series.
DS1 is excellent but much slower and clunkier. Way easier and relaxed too. Sekiro is some godly s*** though def recommend that one.
