I liked Parasite more than Memories of Murder

Yeah, they're both very good don't get me wrong. I'm just confused why it was Parasite that was the first foreign film to finally break through and win all the Oscars when there are dozens of stellar foreign films every year that could all contend for Best Picture. Maybe I'm putting too much prestige on the Oscars..

Then again, Memorie of Murder might be my leat fav Bong aside from Barking Dogs Never Bite, which I've never seen. I might have to rewatch it tho

It’s so good. I love the blocking especially. The Movement on camera in every scene makes great use of the frame.

the way he gives shots depth is one of his strongest attributes I would say. the blocking is always very well thought out.

I think Mother is the best

Memories of Murder is his best for me. Can’t decide whether I like Mother or Parasite more. Had no interest in Okja. Thought Snowpiercer and The Host were pretty good but nothing special.

Mother has been on my radar for a while

@RVI stone roses really got screwed over. This debut holds up so well. A proper follow-up 2-3 years after could’ve been perfect.
