Before my rewatch session I thought it was on par with them but I think now that he too much tried to tell a story and he's not that good at it. His strength lies elsewhere. Still an amazing film. every Tark is imo. He has probably the most consistently great feature filmography I can think of. Not one dud or anything close to it. Solaris is still one of my Top 30 or so Sci Fi films.

Rush has got some jams but they've never been a band I was crazy about. Friend of mine loves them I'm he's sure he's really bummed right now.
