Dreamy shoegaze that sounds like My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive etc
just really splendid background music for me
Whereas the Smiths are one of those bands with a bunch of unique classic songs with gigantic choruses and ridiculous hilarious lyrics and wild guitar flourishes and textures and they become part of your DNA. I usually have no idea where the chick is saying from Cocteau Twins and is saying and I could play their discography from back to front and never notice when the new album ends or the next one starts
it's all a little too arch and stately to connect with
they don't really sound like anyone else imo
at least not most of their 80s stuff, HoLV more conventional dream pop/shoegaze

Well I guess they probably influenced all the other bands but I'm just telling ponytail what they sound like. Like me i don't think he differentiates that much between all the shoegaze & dream-pop sub-genres.
which song was that?
They actually sampled Hellraiser on another song too haha s*** I can't think of the name but I think it was on Clandestine.
Either way their sample game was too hard

how was that u2 album
Oof hard
when that riff starts humming
This one is hard
Only on God Breathed now but I vastly prefer the new sequencing over the original one.
Hurricane followed by Moon works so much better. No clue why those were ever separated.
been jamming Miami and Fire of Love a lot lately
Oh, Mother of Earth, the wind is hot
I tried my best but I could not
And my eyes fade from me, in this open country
Just saw a bumper sticker that said honk if you like dying and being dead
I'da honked
This one is hard
"THIS ISNT FOR YOUR EYESSSS"
Shout out those crusty riff bands that nailed the sample game

I’m about to check the Las Vegas story. Hopefully it slaps like Miami and fire of love

Cryptopsy has some dope samples in theirs too

Don't miss out on Death Party (EP). It's essential Gun Club imo.
Cryptopsy has some dope samples in theirs too
That Exorcist 3 sample opening up Crown of Horns :datass: Shout out Chokehold and Buzzoven for killing it too
shoegaze the one genre i just will never get. I like none of it
Not crazy about any shoegaze bands really but the sound influenced a lot of cool s***. Smashing Pumpkins, Mazzy Star, even Jesu took from that sound.
The mass media “poptism” push to convince us Taylor Swift is good is total nonsense. She is the definition of mediocrity. Getting the dude from The National to produce your faux folk record and get some Bon Iver in there doesn’t make it more respectable. Not to perpetuate gender roles or whatever but grown men regardless of sexuality should never utter the sentence “oh god I can’t even, Tay Tay killed it”.
I CBA to listen to all the edits made on the DONDA Deluxe, just gonna add the 3 new tracks which I like and call it a day.

coward

Some of The Cure stuff he likes almost borders on it at least in terms of the spacious atmosphere it creates.

never say never
