Easy to be better when you skip enunciation entirely

true but her vocal style is also more unique. Also, Morrisey's forte are the lyrics. Also don't think he would be able to be as interesting as Fraser if he'd do the same because he is more of a standard crooner which had been done many times before as opposed to her ethereal style.

Both of their vocal styles are rooted in Irish tradition

Mozzy just wanted to be like an Oscar Wilde bar singer while Lizzy wanted to be a renegade choir soprano.

It’s not really much of a comparison to begin with since the twins always wanted to make more surreal stuff than the smiths were interested in. It’s like comparing a jazz group to a country group

    9. Victorialand
    10. Strangeways, Here We Come

that's the point I'm trying to make. The Smiths weren't as special in the grander scheme of things.

was just asking which band people liked better. they have similarities mainly being big 80s bands and having standout vocalists but never said they sounded anything alike

    Headmaster followed by Rusholme

    That’s such a bullshit argument
Not having a unique take on how you make music doesn’t automatically mean you make music not as good as people who do
Kate Bush isn’t automatically better than The Rolling Stones just because she made more surreal stuff

Morrissey does that head voice Irish squeal so much it’s easier to imagine him singing like Liz. I know it’s over in a Cocteau style

    nah

it sure has an impact. Otherwise you're an extremely good cover artist but there is little artistic expression of your own.

since when is Kate Bush more unique than The Stones anyway?
