You didnt like the Mel Gibson holocaust movie with the chickens?
Their Aardman collaborations were
Wallace and Gromit movie too
That whole no wave sound never connected with me. There’s some good stuff for sure with them but I’ll have to give them another go.
It’s supposed to be the sound of nothing. Try Glenn Branca

Well I like something by the Beatles
I did the same for Views when it came out and it set me on a long path of experimentation
entire Views went right in the trash but yeah I've had to do this to all his other albums
Nicki too
Donda vs. TLOP
(non-edited). TLOP got less unnecessary tracks but DONDA def has way higher highs. Donda might get the edge for that reason alone, putting it at top of my bottom half of Ye albums

no way fidelio is gonna enjoy glenn branca lol

been revisiting whole Sonic Youth catalog recently, just getting to the 00s
still a goat discography as expected. Experimental Jet Set... surprisingly grew on me, its really not a weak album at all
Skink is a very spiritual song for me. Kim doing her best PJ Harvey impression

Wish she did more like this cause they were usually among the best songs on the album

TLOP for sure
Felt like Kanye was rapping way more and not just relying on some youts to dominate whole tracks
Other than light beam obv

Send me those Nicki edits cause I never listened to anything she did after Pink Friday

almost every feature killed it tho. And it's weird you mention Ye's rapping like you don't have his first two albums in your bottom half when those two have some of his best rapping.
at this point my eyes glaze over when i read the word "rollout" on here ngl
I do the same with “up next”
Gonna sound really white but I don’t like a lot of R&B vocals. They stylize things too much that it makes the emotions sound inauthentic. Like when people try to switch up the national anthem all show-offy.
This used to be me with country until I found Outlaw Country. Modern R&B lyrics used to annoy me with how much they only talked about love.

What kinda Nicki edits?
If anyone wants to give me some recommendations to change my mind I’ll take them. I like some 90’s R&B and of course the early 60’s girl groups but that’s almost a totally different thing. Didn’t I Blow Your Mind is also one of my favorite songs ever so there’s that.
Janet Jackson - Rhythm Nation

Sade - Love Deluxe

Dynasty - adventures in the land of music

I do not prefer his backpack era of rapping
He switched his style up, lost some complexity and nuance but became more like a rock and roll writer coming up with big impactful dingers that translate to a stadium
Somebody once said something about rock and roll can get too smart for its own good and I feel like Kanye has a very punk energy as far as ridiculous delivery of absurd lines no other rapper would be seen in public with
keeps him from the head-up-ass realm alot of hyperlyrical rappers are in. which is fine for hip hop heads but I'm not strictly one of those.

Coincidentally they are peppered with edits of terrible songs that Nicki dropped monstrous verses on lol

His backpack era is overstated and only really applies to CD (which imo is his best lyrically). LR has more differences from CD than its given credit for and is objectively his best rapping (improved to his peak flow, vocals sharper (not yet to Yeezus level delivery) with only a small step down in lyrical quality). Biggest thing LR has going against it is it doesn't really follow much of a narrative or theme like pretty much every other Ye album. It's essentially a collection of amazing songs that carry a musical theme.
LR grew off me a bit ngl

for some reason this group specifically has a lot of people who apparently put it in their bottom half while still upping CD. It's not CD level sure, but I don't get how it isn't at least top 5 for everybody. Easily better than his last 4 and I ahve it above 808s and Yeezus (though I see the argument for those above it if that's the sound you prefer.)

I got a few things above Yeezus tbh
