Lordie made me watch Ted Lasso lmao how blasphemous of an american-made British comedy is that to you

It’s an American comedy set in England
    British comedies aren’t (obviously) optimistic

it's crazy how polarizing Murder Most Foul is to me. I see so many people saying it's lazy cause it's bob just referencing s*** like he always does and he's ran out of ideas

It feels like all of these goat women artists basically stand far and above every other woman remotely in their lane and era

    Joan
    Joni
    Patti
    Kate
    Bjork
    Karen
    Grimes
    MIA

Can't think of any real competition any of them had

Do you realize Dylan owes his entire early success to Joan's clout? She literally put him on

I'm not a huge fan but she was the queen of folk back then

you really think joni stands that far above any of the other female singer-songwriters of the era? or is that just a bit of canada bias

Like, literally. She dragged him out on stage and showed him to people. He prolly wouldve stayed an unknown kid if it wasnt for Joan.

I mean she was already the queen of folk when she found Dylan and saw his potential and got him a deal with Hammond and put him on the scene

"From the early to mid 1960s, Baez emerged at the forefront of the American roots revival, where she introduced her audiences to the then-unknown Bob Dylan and was emulated by artists such as Judy Collins, Emmylou Harris, Joni Mitchell, and Bonnie Raitt. On November 23, 1962, Baez appeared on the cover of Time Magazine—a rare honor then for a musician."

I'm not even a big fan but if you ask a bunch of other people in this thread and on earth she's one of the greatest artists of any genre regardless of her gender

I know I've told you how influential her guitar playing and fancy folk tunings were to Neil and Jimmy Page and Keith Richards etc

Probably. I haven't actually seen it in years either and I'm waiting for rvi to watch it so we can banter about it.

I think this type of thing was the case for a lot of legendary dudes. Feel like women are better talent scouts maybe.
