S*** is as long as Blueprint 2 and almost as long as Wu Forever
I’m still deciding if I’m going to break up my listen and how I would if I do it
Yes, but there’s more to it than that. I haven’t even been listening to albums, especially new ones. I’ve been like this for over two years now. Between SiriusXM and the recommendations I get from the algorithms on YouTube and streaming services, I hear music from the past (either from a few years or a few decades ago) which wasn’t “well known” outside of a few people that is so much more interesting to me.
I just listen to songs on their own, and if I do listen to albums they surely aren’t long. I really don’t care “who” makes the music I listen to anymore. I just care about the genre and the mood it’s either putting me in or how it’s matching the mood I’m already in.
kinda wild tbh. so you are kind of a "shuffler" type of listener recently then (with the sirius, recommendations, etc.). kind of the exact opposite of how i do it lol. i mean not just shuffling but more single random songs im assuming you throw in willy nilly based on mood
album is fire though, would make my top half in kanye r*nkings

I still want to listen to it in one sitting but wanna have the time to do it. I may do it on the flight I’m taking later this year.

I should’ve mentioned that I’ve been listening to “mixes” more. 1-3 hours of songs being either played in succession or mixed together. They definitely made me realize that I’d rather listen to songs which focus on a “mood” rather than an album that is trying to express an artist’s unique ideas and feelings. It’s been a fun journey becoming a more “casual” listener with the genres I’ve been getting into. I never would’ve thought 5 years ago that I would listen to music more passively than actively but here I am.
Dune was good
Hndrxx revisit rn feels AMAZING
Aged like a fine wine

I would skip the Pt 2's on first listen tbh and let it end at No Children Left Behind
There must shaved 20 minutes off for you

Beig restrained to a cramped plane seat while hearing a Kanye album for the first time sounds terrible
don't you want to be able to groove

Trust me
No idea why he released them at the tail end of this already insanely long album. Should've been seperate.

First time I heard Yeezus was in the backseat of a car
First time I heard Pablo was in a cramped seat as well
I’m pretty lowkey. Even though I listen to hyper/groovy stuff a lot, I keep all that energy inside and just move my head or arm like a stereotypical douche at a rave

Whenever I fly I make sure to go in sleep deprived and armed with NyQuil. Hopefully I knock out before the plane takes off.

I've had many epic first listens while crammed in a car seat, that's much different than a plane seat

True
But the altitude makes you feel differently. I remember listening to Disintegration on a plane and I felt more connected to it than ever.
My bestie and I got blasted on LSD on a sunny ass Sunday afternoon and it was nuts lol
It's was her first time and she was barely hanging on to her pantaloons
