Day Tripper vocals sound 200 times better separated in stereo
Day Tripper is a decent one from what I remember
honestly I definitely prefer the sound of the mono beatles harmonies over the stereo ones, it just sounds right somehow. highlights the mix of their vocal sounds more. and once i heard the extra reverb they threw on for the stereo mixes i couldnt unhear it. The mono vocals sound like its one voice which I feel like is exactly what they were going for. similarly to how they combined double tracked vocals to sound together as one, would sound worse to hear the double tracked vocals one each side
will always be surprised at you not valuing the sheer authenticity of the mono mix ngl. what's next, youre gonna tell me you prefer hastily recolored versions of old black and white films?
when i listen to the beatles stereo mixes, it's still great because it's the beatles but there's always something sticking out (often a loud ass tambourine or reverb) and it doesn't feel like the 60s as much. which i can accept might be illogical. but when I listen to the mono, all i hear is..The Beatles in the purest form possible
those both sound fine to me
this is the one im just hearing on Mono Masters and i dont like it at all. lead vocals out of sync and pauls bass line sounds different and worse.

idk i think its gonna boil down to a song by song preference like it did with kinks etc
ive listened to the versions ive had for like 20 years so its not gonna be easy to accept other versions unless they are drastically better like this Paperback Writer
You werent s*** if you didnt have GTA3

its a banger in mono
exactly and paperback writer is perfect example
the rhythm section hits as hard as it should (one of pauls better basslines tbh) and the vocals and guitars are direct and in your face. RIngo drums just sound so much snappier mono in general, I'm not really a fan of drums being panned one way or the other unless they were actually recorded in stereo themselves ofc which is the best option
listening to the stereo version now and the riff part at 1:44 has absolutely no power whatsoever crammed all into one channel when its actually one of the most rocking songs they have
travesty
that's the fake stereo one (from past masters) that you linked
lennons LIFE IS VERY SHORT, AND THERES NO TIIIIME vocal stands out/hits way harder in stereo
as does pauls bass

i usually prefer the mono bass power over the stereo separated with slightly more clarity for those
did you replace your stereo Sgt Pepper with the remix from a few years ago btw? hopefully it becomes the definitive version for newer generations even though some boomer purists nitpicked about it. white album stereo remix too, but the og stereo was already equally good to mono. also the couple stereo remixes included on Pepper like helo goodbye, strawberry, penny are better than og stereo and the ones i might listen to most often now
Abbey Road remix was kinda pointless though since it already sounded so good. dont think it was an improvement, just some differences and removing some slight idiosyncrasies that actually worked
what is yalls favorite GTA anyway
probably 4 for me but mainly cause it was my first one. multiplayer was awesome with friends too

i hope you haven't been listening to Revolution in stereo this whole time
might be the biggest difference i can think of, absolutely rips in mono

yeah this is a keeper
Rain doesnt hit too different despite the stereo version having a lennnon lead left ear and harmony call and response left ear

i think san andreas had the most satisfying gameplay with the turf wars and s*** but its been 200 years since i played any of them
