@basedspirit @RASIE Thugger's SHEESH, SHEESH on "Check" is some all time GOAT level s*** 9bh

I still get surprised at how amazing "Daddy's Birthday" and "For Y'all" are tbh. Even though both songs have been in my top 5 Thugger tracks for a long time, whenever they come on my shuffle I'm always like "goddamn this song is really magnificent"
Finally downloaded Exit the Gungeon earlier this morning. It's really weird tbh.... Not even in regards to the switch into sidescroller, I don't mind that really (even though I'm still getting used to being able to see all the bullets/stuff on screen in big gunfights).
It's more like the difficulty in ExitTG is weirdly polarized. The normal enemies/rooms feel really easy, like way easier than EnterTG was at first. But then the bosses are the opposite — just crazy fast and quickly filling the (much smaller) area with multiple atfacks at once. Not to mention: every run you do is automatically blessed and you can't turn that off — at least I haven't found a way to yet — which is kinda lame. So that makes all the normal enemies/rooms even easier, and the bosses harder cause you can get stuck with some s***ty gun for 10 seconds and die because of it.
And the developers clearly want players to be moving A LOT more in this game compared to EnterTG, which is actually cool. There's 5 different kinds of dodgerolls in this game, and when you jump up/down it feels like you fly around the screen. But so far, for me it doesn't feel like I'm ever moving/dodging with any kind of intention or skill — I just feel like I'm buttong mashing to make my guy bounce around the screen to dodge bullets, and I usually can't keep up with it.
Hope it gets better.
nice, let me know how it is
oh yeah that was a nice movie bruh, very wholesome for such an explicit body horror type of film. lead girl’s performance reminds me of DiCaprio’s Revenant performance where it’s just super animalistic and raw the whole time with not much “conventional acting”
saw at least 10 people walk out of the theatre lmao
Instead of ExitTG, Dodge Roll/Devolver Digital honestly should have just kept building on EnterTG for a couple more years, or released a new one that has even more content than the first.
Then they can release a totally different game afterwards. Instead of saying "We wanted to move on from EnterTG" and then immediately release a Gungeon sequel with unnecessary major gameplay tweaks
imagine if Metro Thuggin was an actual album
Spaghetti Factory the opening track

I'm not super high on all of that album... been a while since I listened all the way through. I usually listen to the first 4, then skip to "You Said" and "Feel It". "Relationships" is f***ing atrocious and I will not be persuaded otherwise.

Relationships one of the highlights
I paid extra for the crib, it got a game room
Got a penthouse in the back, it ain't my main room
Tamika, Jo and Porsche they kept it silent
That's the only reason I let 'em fly private

terrible chorus. Also grown super off of Future and his expressionless delivery. There's more than 10 rappers or groups I prefer over Fewtch from last decade

You have stumbled off the path of righteousness

10? I must have missed out on a lot more recent rap than I realized if there's that many you'd rank higher
I can name like 3-5 that would be shoo-ins, but i cant think of 10. Gimme some names so i can see if there's any folks i should be checking out

made this at the end of the decade, only slightly updated to recent listens but pretty accurate overall

IT's probably just artists you don't hold as high of a regard as me, I'm always behind on music lol, probably not much there you havent heard

Yeah that list has a lot of names that I either understand but don't listen to then as often anymore, or stopped keeping up with. 10 makes more sense looking at that now

I can imagine your top 5 is probably just what my top 3 is + Future + a distant 5th

Even I don't have any springloaded personal headcannon like this

Yeah it's be something like Kanye, Thug, Lil B, Future, and Keef
Speaking of Keef, he's not in your list at all?

AH shiiittt, I always forget to fully listen to Keef's stuff
gotta eventually listen to his stuff. I have like 4 albums added on AM but haven't listened yet

BFTD2, Almighty So, Nobody, Finally Rich, and Bang Pt. 2 should atleast be heard. He's released so many projects since then, most of which have gotten very little (if any) coverage or publicity, so it's hard to keep up with his more recent stuff. But those 5 are like definitive Keef 101 curriculum
But he was also a powerhouse with promo singles/b-sides during that same era too. He has an incredible amount of awesome songs that don't appear on any of this mid-2010s projects. Some of them are in my favorite songs of his too
And this convo made me want to check if Apple Music has finally put Almighty So on their service, and YES they have. Thank Jesus. Now I can delete my bugged copy of that tape from my phone.
I could honestly put Waka in my top 10 rappers of the past decade tbh, just from his output from 2010-2011 alone haha

Yeah I don't know how Keef escaped my radar, cause I have seen you and others talk about him itt and I always take mental notes while counting our Fam lists (Almighty So made the list iirc).
Speaking of lists, I think we can permanently exclude the Redux 60s, 70s, and 80s from official list canon. They don't have the same level of hype and intrigue as the originals and definitely not the same level of execution as the ones on KTT2. I was in such a dreadful mind state that I stopped halfway through, and left poor Aruji to finish the 80s.

So the OG ones for those decades should take priority?
Or do you wanna do a round 3 for those decades
