might just be because im paying a bit more attention but 2021 is shaping up to be really nice music-wise. especially now in the 2nd half of the year

Kanye, Turnstile, Darkside, Japanese Breakfast, Mach-Hommy, Spellling, Yola, Iceage, Mare Cognitum all dropped great albums for me. still got some metal ones i need to peep. even this Halsey album with Reznor/Ross is pretty nice

also anticipating the War on D****, Carcass, Moor Mother, Sufjan, Green Lung

im not a huge fan of his vocals tbh... I know yall stan that debut but I'm not as big on the super guttural style. my favorite from them is Diabolical Conquest with the dude from the Chasm on vocals

I wouldn't really say he's super guttural, it just fits Incantation's thick nasty riffs perfectly imo. But I dig Diabolical Conquest a lot too haha probably my second fav from them... That closer is epic

You know which one is too guttural for me, Infester's To The Depth's the keyboards rule on that joint tho haha

i couldnt get into the Infester album. yeah those more "brutal" vocals where it sounds like theyre just rhythmically guttural grunting arent my favorite remember that album being murky asf in a way which kinda offput me too but I have to revisit it some time.

but i do like suffocation debut which kinda has that vocal style. feel like the dude is more saying words on Pierced From Within though. and the riffs are too good
