"Do you have any product?"
"Well, that one time"
I hate Jay Electronica on there tho
I've always been ambivalent towards him so he doesnt bother me much. But starting his verse by bragging about his Rothschild connection is cringe tho
Papa Was A Rolling Stone pt 2
Bout to play Come to Life over the Ordet finale
Tbh when I started looking at the Hurricane drums as texture more than rhythmic intonations the song imoroved tremendously for me. Don't think harder drums would do it good tbh.
rhythmic intonations
I can definitely say that my first impressions of Donda are leagues above the ones I had (and still have) of Ye

agreed but NO MISTAKE GIRL STILL LOVE YOU
Ghost Town and No Mistakes are great. JIK was pretty weak. Donda probably on TLOP level but the highs on there might beat out the ones on Donda
think Donda might crack the top 5

808s, Grad and Pablo are all right there though for that fifth spot. Donda just feels so triumphant, something Ye has been working towards for awhile. 24 makes me emotional

Only think i dont like about Hurricane is The Weeknd. I love the melody of his part, but there's something too poppy aboit his vocals on that song. He worked really well on "FML", but "Hurricane" sounds like it would benefit more if that part was done by someone a little older, or just someone with more texture in their voice. Ty Dolla Sign or someone like him would sound nice i think. Or even Charlie Wilson tbh

yea same. there are a couple solid tunes on JIK but I never feel the urge to revisit it. what are your go to joints on there beside use this gospel
:ohtu:
Off The Grid, Come To Life, Jesus Lord, Believe What I Say.
Enjoy pretty much everything except Jonah & Tell The Vision, you?
come to life, off the grid, hurricane, pure souls
Doubtful that Donda surpasses any of my top 5 cause those first 6 minus Graduation are tooooo f***ing good.

Pretty much the whole album except for Selah and Hands On
My faves are Everything We Need, Follow God, and Jesus Is Lord (and Use This Gospel). Me and my husband literally walk around our house singing to "oooh oooh oooh oooh" part of Everything We Need all the time haha.
Closed on Sunday is probably the other really mid song i rarely ever play, cause its really only worth listening to for the ending switch up
am i a bad person for disliking the album name
i just dont like how "donda" sounds
come to life, off the grid, hurricane, pure souls
Pure Souls is motivational Ye back in full force
