As much as I LOVE Donda, these pans from critic is fully acceptible tbh

Until LP2 it was some of the greatest album Ye ever put out, but suddenly Kanye went a little bit of crazy, f***ing up the whole sequence(which I love about, plenty of his mother speech samples and talking about depression while having his own family departure to keep the main theme with religion being side part), having controversial people on his side and really thinking this new track order has that Yeezus shock value.

I mean I love pretty much every tracks but at the same time I don’t consider this his ‘album’ just a collection of songs I’ll enjoy for a long time.

Yea it was solid. The book I read was the last one before he died so it dealt with themes of mortality mixed with dark humor really well.

I would give it a high 3.5/5 on first read but I will say this dude really knows how to close a story. Like you know when he kicks it up a notch. I wanna read some of his earlier work but you can keep this one in mind, got a ton of acclaim
