@Koala the thing I miss the most about ktt1 was the fact that there were real adults there who didn't grow up on the internet and were secure enough in themselves to discuss s*** even if no one else was interested

I re-watched this film recently and this thread is literally the only place online I probably could've discussed it. the 2010s had a nice lil' indie movement that was easier to go through having all those people to talk about it with.

this reminds me of rowjays pic of alex Ross perry as a wizard with woody Allen a trashcan and piece of falafel

Yea we had a lot of real ones in that old film section, varied taste across the board. You wouldn't have thought that on a Kanye forum but I wouldn't have watched half the stuff I've seen without those guys. Great discussions like you said.

As for Queen of Earth I haven't seen it in a minute but that was a good one imo. Alex Ross Perry isnt for everyone but I thought he nailed that psychological horror vibe with that joint.

Monologues like this are f***ing genius though they're like Easy Rider/Apocalypse Now era Dennis Hopper blasted on acid and jacked up on steroids

You did. The main point of Parasite is that you basically have to be a slave or prisoner to get out of poverty. Mr. Kim was treated like a slave. The guy in the basement was basically a prisoner. Race doesn't matter but having white people play characters that were intended to be treated as close to slaves as legally possible will come off as "pandering" to the internet, no matter who does it.

Still think you’re misunderstanding what I was pitching. Did you miss the part where I said having two black families would just as easily highlight the same thematic and sociocultural economic point.
