A lot of these so called method actors seem to be confused about what it is to act. They don't have to actually be what they're portraying in the film or play, only pretend to be. That also just so happens to be Sir Ian McKellen's secret to why he acts so well. He pretends to be the person he's portraying.
You're confused? Well, case in point, Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson came from New Zealand and said to Sir Ian, I want you to be Gandalf the Wizard. Sir Ian said, you are aware that I am not really a wizard. Peter Jackson said, yes, I am aware of that, what I want you to do is use your acting skills to portray the wizard for the duration of the film. So Sir Ian said okay, and then he asked himself, hmm, how will I do that. And this is what he did. He imagined what it would be like to be a wizard, and then he pretended and acted in that way on the day. And how did he know what to say? The words had been written down for him in a script. How did he know where to stand? People told him.
So the whole thing is an illusion. Sir Ian wasn't really Gandalf, he was pretending.

yeah its pleasant nugget of an album. they had no balls or gravitas without Neil or Gene or McGuinn present though.

sounds dope. what were some of the things you did? I've always wanted to go to the mediterranean and just explore southern spain, italy and france. so beautiful over there, America has nothing on it lol

Neil honestly couldn't even really save them, there are a couple gems on Deja Vu but it gets old quick.
you f*** with fleet foxes ? feel like they got most of their sound from that era but it's much more interesting and layered. Helplessness Blues one of my all time folk records

cant decide between costa rica when i was in my early 20s with a couple friends
my parents never travelled very far so it was a big one out on my own
and when my best chick friend and I did Prague (saw depeche), Munich (got Violator tattoo), Barcelona (saw arcade fire, swans, rtj etc at primavera) and then a bunch of southern France up till Nice (did cocaine)
and then when i went to Greece, Zurich and Berlin with the gf a few years ago
probably the middle one tbh. even though i was still heartbroken, it helped alot obviously.

also my first trip out of the country without family was when my bro and i took a train down to Portland when we were 17 or 18 to see Bob Dylan with Merle Haggard opening for him
realized later how fitting it was cause theyre both about that hobo train life. also both considered the greatest songwriters in the history of their genres
As much as I love Stranded, "Re-Make/Re-Model" and "If There is Something" blow anything on Stranded out of the water
only If There Is Something but were talking album as a whole. arguably equal.
ngl my dumb ass couldnt quite remember exactly which countries i saw on that trip so i had to reference my old calendar
i miss doing this
