plot twist Gira dies of heat stroke during one of his own shows
he'd probably like that tbh
Like that Polish comedian who had a heart attack in the middle of a joke and died cause no one checked on him for over half an hour
Daydreaming up there, possibly Thom's most heartbreaking song
That was great but literally diet How To Disappear
Like I said yesterday quality stuff but too downer vibes even for them
amnesiac feels like more of a downer for me
We decided we didn't need one a few weeks ago
false

my fav prob Reckoner or House of Cards ngl
House of Cards was one of the songs that got me into them, In Rainbows in general too
did you guys meet up and have dinner afterwards
We didn’t know we were at the same show until months later because I kept describing it. I might meet up with him if MBV plays a show in NYC again tho.
we didn't know we were both there at the time unfortunately
@Lawdie you got passed a joint right?
Yup, right before Bloom started
Felt like I was roaming the jungle like in Apocalypse Now or Lost City of Z
If I ever visit the Couv I'll give @Elric a shout
cause we both know there's no reason to visit sask
I dont think thats cliche. Let Down is my fav of theirs and that's probably more cliche
Let Down is easily my fav
Pablo Honey is only horrendous if you’re directly comparing it to their later stuff that recontexualized them as a band. Aruji said this better but Thom leans into his emotions more and bellows out some beautiful notes. As overplayed as Creep is, that “run, run, ruuuuuun” part is as powerful as he gets. It’s a nice 90’s sounding album, got a bit of Britpop, a bit of Grunge, a bit of R.E.M. influenced alt stuff. It puts you in a time and place. It’s more successful at doing that than Hail To The Thief’s collage of ideas that don’t flow together.

It's a few degrees hotter today but there's a nice breeze so it's not too bad yet. Place a few hours north of here broke the all time record for hottest place in Canada ever today :ohno: a record that was set yesterday :ohno:
Luckily my bestie lives nearby and has a pool so that's where we been for the last 3 evenings

Liam one of those guys that's easily dislikable but hilarious so he gets away with it lol

he's right about that part of The Bends, actually ruins the entire song for me

You sound like those folks who complain about Paul’s part in A day in the life
