@Elric
since we were talking about third stream, Sketches of Spain, and Moondog a while back, you should check out this new Pharaoh Saunders with the London Symphony Orchestra. A repetitive but metaphysically enchanting odyssey of a composition imo.

I got a weekend to myself for the first time in months so I might crack on with mine. Or I might not I dunno
as long as you try your best and put PFNO at number 1

Did u know Midwife put out music recently?
That Dirty 3 Ocean Songs album never did much for me. Just was like pleasant background noise lol
1. Elliot Smith - Either/Or
2. Lisa Germano - Geek The Girl
3. Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane
4. Mobb Deep - The Infamous
5. Weezer - Pinkerton
6. Red House Painters - Down Colorful Hill
7. Radiohead - The Bends
8. Eels - Electro Shock Blues
9. Spiritualized - Ladies & Gentleman
10. Slowdive - Slouvaki
Too 10 of the 90’s at the moment
Honestly Geek the Girl might be number 1 the more I think about it. I’ve always said I preferred male singer songwriter vocalists cause they have a vulnerability in their voice that sounds more sincere to me where as female vocalists sometimes unintentionally or not just lean into sounding pretty or ethereal. Lisa manages to do both. Her voice can tap into all that I love about singers like Elliot Smith, Nick Drake, and Conor Oberst but laced with that ethereal beauty they don’t really have. It’s just perfect. My top 10 is mostly albums that have had an impact on me emotionally at some point. Eels was the only recent one that hasn’t had time to do that which I included anyway because it was just too good not to put in there.

Lisa Germano is my favourite female musician of all time.... she straddles the line between so many different emotions, peaking with the overwhelming vulnerability and innocence of Geek the Girl

damn i wish i had some old grandad bonded or mellow corn rn tbh
now i’m watching Whiplash. dunno why i’m in a film mood all of a sudden. hope this one is at least as good as Suspiria
Listening to this. Pretty damn good.

@Galaxy you ever heard this? I think you’d dig it

Not a fan of it tbh but I’m biased cause the original is like top 10 and I just don’t like what he did with it.
nah m8
If you get a chance, give it a peep. It reminds me of Lisa Germano a little bit just more directionless throwing tons of ideas at the wall and connecting them with a certain mood
