Tbh I’m a lot more harsh on it than others. S2 was a f***in slog fest and overtime I started to only enjoy how terrible the acting of Taylor Kitsch was as well as Farrell beating up a kids dad with brass knuckles in front of him
But overall, s*** was not good because they were actually trying to be serious
yea man certain parts had me wondering if it was meant to be serious or kinda loose like a dark Lifetime movie.
Still havent seen S3 but may throw on S1 since its a summer joint.

"Dark lifetime movie" damn lol
Also noticed they lost director/exec producer Cary Fukunaga after the first season. Makes sense.

I like a good Lifetime movie, they have a novelty factor
I think the biggest problem was the writing was rushed and too convoluted for its own good. I remember reading that Nick guy was working on the S1 script/story for a good couple years. He couldn't just rehash that Thomas Ligotti cosmic pessimism for another season either.
Watching S1 while it aired was a lot of fun tho, really pulled everyone in.

anyone have recommendations on getting into Duke Ellington's massive catalog
albums or compilations
so far only heard like 10 of his main singles from the 20s and 30s, Ellington at Newport and Far East Suite
