emmylou might take my #1 spot on the top female artists album OAT list tbh if not bjork or joni
wonder what other basic country artists i should include in my next few weeks/months digestion
so far i started
Hank Williams
Johnny Cash (already heard a lot)
Merle Haggard
Willie Nelson
Gram Parsons
Patsy Cline
maybe considering Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn, John Prine
will likely throw in some more of the dustiest ones like Jimmie Rodgers as I crawl through this Ken Burns documentary series
I'd add Guy Clark (RIP) in there. and big ups for John Prine (RIP)

Bobby Bare albums Detroit and 500 Miles From Home
he has a really textured sound that I've never heard in country before
its fun to sing along to country putting on a faux accent
Only half faux for me :kendricklaff:
Waylon, Kristofferson, George Jones
Man I'm loving these early Waylon singles
he hasn't abandoned his rock and roll roots yet

Loretta is the baddest
You should see if you have better luck with Buck Owens than i did
none of my torrents worked on time to sync up his career with my Best Songs thread but wait till you see how lionized he is in that Ken Burns doc
Dang I can't get into her

George C Scott and Stacy Keach behind the badge
I wanna read that Choirboy book, I wonder how that would translate in today's times haha
@rise_zero I posted that Totinos Rocket Mortgage gaming compund vid from Dunkey in that thread, and I went to see if those guys ever mentioned Dunkey's vid...cause I assumed they were a huge channel...
But no, that 100 Thieves channel only has 1.3mil subs. Dunkey himself has nearly 5x that many. Why/how the hell are these relatively small channels getting these multi-million dollar sponsorship contracts and giant office spaces??
S*** legitimately surprised me. I expected them to have like 10-20mil subscribers at least
Like the guy in that video even says "Now we're gonna take a look at our streaming rooms where the biggest content creators in the world get it done"
???
