Eric COg hank is dope but so is Jr and III
I always thought Junior was trash but his first couple albums came up when I was researching quality country albums from early '60s
he was only 16 when his first recording came out and apparently they're great. Queued up his debut for when I get to 1964.

KoalaI never cared about The Grateful Dead either haha but the Allmans are just southern rock with some blues, etc. Like if you dig CCR or Skynyrd it should sit right. Im sure you would like some of their stuff.
