Been slowly replaying RDR2 lately myself. Incredible game
RDR2 was GOAT for about the first 10 hours
After that I got really bored because s*** was just repetitive

When we were going through the entire process of hunting, I thought this single player was gonna be amazing because of how many different things we got to do
but after that, every single mission was just you going to some place to shoot other people and s*** got bland af

Yeah I hated how you couldn't do missions the way you wanted to, kinda why I love BOTW so much.
Will say the graphics where nice, stunning game.. tedious gameplay.

Fuuuck chapter 3 is where the narrative starts picking up. I wasn’t into the game until like halfway through chapter 3 and then I was totally hooked and couldn’t stop playing for weeks
That might just be cause it focuses on the south post-reconstruction which is a period I’m really interested in. Was cool to see locations I’d only read about really, albeit virtually

That makes sense why you'd enjoy it but the whole "go here" or "go there" play style that rockstar have been using for years is dated.
I might start it again tbh, I've heard from a few people that It gets good towards the latter half of the game.

Valid complaint. The gameplay doesn’t really change at all but the story starts picking around act 3 for sure. For me the presentation/story/characters were enough for me to keep playing but I’d understand why someone wouldn’t be able to get into it.

Yeah, once the game opens up and you have more freedom and the characters start developing the game takes on a new life I feel like. The early part can be a slog though for sure.

Characters were pretty cool, I'll try and get through it at some point.
@drjdeponytail this Metz
And didn't realise Touche Amore was dropping today as well
Feel like lobbing my laptop through my window, running outside and drop kicking the old man at the bus stop

Yea I loved it mainly because of the Arthur character. Personally I digged the slower feel of the game, its a western and I wanna take in the scenery and landscape. I can see how people said the missions were repetitive tho.
Playing as Jack did nothing for me..

Yep. Felt more like a Deadwood simulator than a game. The visuals/story/acting/soundtrack, basically everything else lol, is all top notch though.

Have you played Bloodborne?

I'll need to replay it sometime, it was great to just mess about in the open world and I loved how the story progressed. Arthur was such a good character, most of them were tbh
