It was alright. I honestly had more fun with oblivion

Radiant quest system ruined s*** imo, but not as bad in Skyrim when compared to fallout 4

    Oblivion has radiant quests

there’s enough side quests in those games that the radiant quests are just extra for those who want them imo

It’s not about the quests themselves

I don’t remember them in oblivion so maybe take what I’m about to say w a grain of salt but

Radiant quests require radiant locations. So instead of the types of locations you get in fallout 3 and new Vegas which were all interesting, worth going to, had special weapons or little Easter eggs, etc. You get 8 identical bunkers that you can route radiant quests to. This killed the map in fallout 4 because it became repetitive as s*** to explore and play the game. Skyrim wasn’t as bad cause a lot of the locations were like giant camps or caves but if fallout 5 map has radiant quests again it will probably end up as repetitive as the fallout 4 map

    Who cares

It means that the experience I had playing new Vegas will be the only experience of its kind even though I desperately wanted another fallout experience

Enough time to finish all of them before 5

You say it's droppin 2027, I say it's def not droppin 5 years from now

So if it doesn't drop in 2027, any delay included then I win.

If it drops in 2027 or sooner then you win.

    🤝

Bro was arguing up and down this would drop in 2027, now he's updated the elder scrolls thread to 2027

Outerworlds was a great game, they'd do just fine making another Fallout.

Outerworlds was a great game, they'd do just fine making another Fallout.

The lead designer and director of New Vegas, JE Sawyer, was a really key component to why NV was so great and why outer worlds was a step down. If anything they need JE Sawyer not Obsidian

You’re the one who said you wanted to bet over it, I was just spitballing when we had that conversation starfield hadn’t been delayed yet, it was dropping in 2022. Now that it ended up dropping late 2023 AND still needs a lot of work, everything’s been pushed back, es6 most likely pushed to 2027 and fallout 5 to 2030 probably

Don't blame go blaming Starfield for your wrong prediction now. We made our takes in 2021 before any Starfield delay was mentioned. I thought you were far too optimistic in Bethesda's development cycle for that to occur and I will take a cookie for being correct

Fallout 5 has reportedly been officially greenlit and development is moving forward, though who, exactly, is leading development on the new installment in the series is currently unknown.

The report comes from the latest episode of the Xbox Two Podcast, where Windows Central executive editor Jez Corden discussed how Xbox is handling Fallout as a franchise moving forward. However, he didn't know what studio would be developing Fallout 5, as he believes Bethesda Game Studios' core teams are currently busy working on additional Starfield DLC and The Elder Scrolls VI.

Corden said from what he has heard, part of the forward push for Fallout 5 and Fallout in general came at the expense of ZeniMax Online's next MMO, codenamed Blackbird, which was canceled as part of Microsoft's latest round of layoffs.

As Corden explains, MMOs are expensive to build and have to compete with established games like World of Warcraft and even ZeniMax's own The Elder Scrolls Online. With that in mind, Microsoft made the decision to cancel ZeniMax's unannounced project and invest that money into Fallout, an established IP that would more likely be a "surefire win."

"From what I heard, it was a case of 'Do we want to sink a ton of money into getting this project Blackbird to a point where it can compete with the established players in the market, or do we want to allocate that investment towards making Fallout 5?'" Corden said.

The prospect of someone other than Bethesda making this is shakey to me ngl

If it’s not obsidian idk man. And idk why they would be making F5 instead of NV2 so this is strange to say the least
