no details, time table, concept art or anything. Literally just a reminder to everyone that it exists

That's the assumption but it's Bethesda so I'll believe it when I see it

Nah, like I think they just started production on these because Asha got them nervous. They may have been bullshitting around in the ideas phase before but it seems like they’re locking in on out effective immediately, hence no further information on timelines. I’m sure they’re getting serious because it’s do or die for them right now

Fallout 3 remastered was leaked like 3 years ago

Fallout 5 story was completed years ago because Nolan said they told him the story so he didn’t use any of their ideas in the show

Obsidian fallout it’s unclear but Tim Cain the creator of fallout joined obsidian a year or so ago saying he was working on something undisclosed

Yeah I think they were gonna wait to announce just before release like oblivion remastered but Asha pushed them to announce now because they needed good PR

Also jason leaking that big announcement probably pissed them off

Fallout 5 story may have been done but that doesn’t mean the game was in the production phase. They may have just been meandering a bit or working on other things

Writing the story is pre-production, in general, but especially for a game like this

Yea I know but meant full-on production… pre-production is basically the ideas/testing phase where devs can sit for years coasting along and not progressing toward any ideas, which I’m pretty sure Bethesda has been doing for awhile now. In an entire decade, they have only given us starfield which is insane

Oh I see. When you originally said “they just started production” I wasn’t sure if you knew they’d been cooking for a while

Pre-production is an early phase but it’s still one of the most crucial in something like this where the story is kinda central to the whole experience

It is genuinely baffling how long they spent on starfield when you look at the quality of the final product… yeeesh

I hope they at least learned something, like what to avoid lol

Fallout 4 needed fan content for the world to feel as filled out as new Vegas too

Honestly most Bethesda games require mods to unlock their full potential, and they often ship with all those bugs. I know that’s part of the “charm”, but I genuinely wonder why it takes them so long release games lol

I’m sure it was always obvious but it’s now very obvious Todd is an egomaniac lol

Thanks to Asha for reeling them in

    Lmfao Asha didn’t do anything

  • The firings suck but it would appear there was a massive level of bloat that was slowing down development

“It’s their games they can do whatever they want” touché. But 10-15 years between mainline titles for their 2 biggest franchises is just purely mismanagement and also disregard for the fans

Starfield also i liked. But the story sucked and was a prisoner of the multiverse cultural era

These games all would’ve been announced when the time came for them to be announced

Asha getting them to spill all of this in a press release is a desperate attempt for good PR amidst the bad PR of all their layoffs and cancellations
