i dont think insertcoolnamehere is saying that though, it's really just pointed to the one thing befly said

ending up with a 6.3 to me kind of exemplifies the case of a project which dares to do something kind of experimental getting double the hate bc the experiment is flawed instead of recognizing the value of what it's offering

if the project is landing to you and you feel like it's successful in what its attempting, no one can take that away cuz that's highly subjective

but i don't think we should overly praise it just for attempting something different if it doesn't succeed in our eyes

I also wouldn't say he's trying to do something different, he did.. and it is a cool sound, he just did sacrifice range too

Oh yeah this is so fair my thing with this is though there’s two seperates realities I hold space for, one of whether the album appeals to my tastes and how well executed I see it as, the other of my meta level respect for it and what I think it contributes to the game.

I think it’s just his point is calling it ass is fine but also I think if we want more high effort personal intentional work that don’t sound like much else rn, we also shouldn’t punish as if it’s a bad thing for the game that someone just didn’t fully execute something properly in our view!

A lot of the hate is double and very visceral and disporportionate, like him being called “lil pump”not just yea nah I don’t think this is it he ain’t execute it well. I mean this is the guy’s like first full length project really.
