Fr. Lowkey it doesn’t even take anything away from the album. Honestly adds to it imo. It’s relatable, short, to the point, and a solid piece of social commentary

Why even have social media then? If you’re on social media then there’s zero reason not to friend the person you’re in a relationship with

Did you completely miss my post explaining it?

Also it makes sense with the next song, close to you. Frank using talkbox/autotune on a song about being close to someone

Am I the only one who thinks that it’s one of the stupidest skits ever? Unless I’m misunderstanding it, why would he not add the girl he’s with on Facebook? S*** just feels some pseudo intellectual bullshit

Been thought this. Like STFU frank. This s*** is highkey weird. Your only excuse for not adding your girl is if you literally never get on it. And i mean never. At which point just deactivate your s*** bozo.

To each it’s own. I’m not saying people need to broadcast their entire relationship on social media for validation. I live with my gf and we’ve been together for two years so we know our relationship is more than whatever we put on social media, but at the same time to not have each other as friends if you use it at any capacity is weird. That’s just me

It's understandable to have the person you're in a relationship with on your social media, but don't you think it's a bit unreasonable that theres an expectation that you have to have them on all of your social media? Don't you like privacy on social media?

  • Hedobevibindoe

Ur looking at it from a surface level, it’s basically commentary on love in the digital age

Doesn't make it any better even if you listen to it like this

No I saw it but there’s a huge difference between refusing to add someone (if you’re an active user) and getting upset over posts. I can understand the latter can be dumb and immature but that’s more on the person getting upset, and although I agree social media can bring out the worst in relationships, I’d argue it says a lot about the person in general and to blame it all on social media is extremely lazy imo

Maybe it doesn’t belong on the album but the guy had a point. Obviously adding her on FB isn’t a big deal but if she’s going crazy about it and accusing him of cheating it’s a red flag for the relationship

Bro if the hoe im with aint adding me im gonna assume she hiding something. S*** aint even that complex.

Adding her as a friend doesn’t mean he has to plaster her and/or their relationship over it. My gf and I both have our own fb and operate independently of each other, but maybe she just wanted some more insight as to who he is as a person? Idk I guess I just don’t understand how people are acting like this wouldn’t be a weird situation if someone you’re in a relationship with is actively on Facebook but won’t even add you as a friend.

    It’s way dumber than that

Dude acted like she was in the wrong and that Facebook meant nothing it’s just a “virtual thing”

B**** you care about who is and isn’t on your friends list, it’s obviously no longer a virtual thing when your friends list is so exclusive that people that you’ve dated for years don’t make the cut.

Why is there an expectation that you have to add them on social media platforms? Like why do you personally believe that you should add them?

You refusing to add me is weird. S*** is not that deep. Imagine chilling with you when i know you got a facebook and u refusing to add me. The reason i know cus i did this to a girl before, where i would lie and say i never get on fb. When really i was in a whole other relationship with someone else and fb is the only place you would know and see that.

  • was a setup for close to you, technology affecting love and then you get a robotic but emotional frank singing bout a lost love

Because if it’s important enough to be a user and add other people you know why would you not? I’m just at a loss that it’s being treated as if it’s some deep methodology in who to add and not to add. If you’re on social media to interact with people you know, why would not you not have someone that knows you best? It’s not like she’s asking to dig through his personal messages, asking for him to post pictures, she’s just asking why he doesn’t accept her friend request. People are blaming the woman in the situation but her reaction is just based on his irrational attitude towards the situation

my most listened to album is Blonde by like a landslide and i legitimately cannot even tell u what that skit is about, i think i heard it like 5 times in my life in total

Blonde is top 10 of the decade for me and I've heard that skit less than 5 times

  • Feb 11, 2021

Facebook Story wasn't a planned and written "skit" per se, Frank was just recording a conversation between himself and Sebastian

I discovered that Frank was recording the conversations sometimes when something seemed interesting to him, but I didn’t know when and why exactly. We were just having discussions like anyone else, but he suddenly paid attention at this story. He maybe chose that one because this kind of story reveals something about our time. He maybe has another point of view.

really unnecessary skit it doesn't even add anything to the album

It's a catalyst and sets up the next track, they both share common themes which is: a long lasting relationship on its last legs.

    "Why am I preaching?
To this choir, to this atheist"

Both Frank and Sebastian are pleading to their partners to remain mature but as the atheist in the relationship, the preaching has no effect on them.
