You are being elitist and doing what the former generations always do in the face of change. The same thing has been said when we went from Turntables -> Live Prod then when we went from Beat Machines -> Computers. It's just another form of expression.

Hip Hop is an everchanging genre that evolves with the times. Some people like T-Pain, Ye, Wayne, and Future have pushed what Auto-Tune can do in Hip Hop. Instead of being used in the Traditional Pop Artist sense where it's to compensate for singing ability, it's used as an instrument for new sounds with the autotune. This is heavily inspired by Roger Troutman's talk box (Roger also inspired Stevie Wonder).

Certain people like Travis Scott have been inspired and try to emulate (with his own twist) but with all imitations there will be shortcomings and lazy interpretations.

Hip Hop/Rap has become the pop in pop culture. With Autotune becoming more popular in all avenues of music, there will be lazy interpretations for something that "desperately tries to search for the music in your speech, and produces notes at random." according to Thom Yorke. Everybody and their momma wants to rap and autotune just makes you sound more musically inclined.

The majority of rappers nowadays don't even use auto-tune which is funny that this is even a thread. A lot do of course but the majority don't even have the resources to. And who cares, it's music and expression. If you don't like it, ignore it. Rap will forever be based in poetry and production. Since the beginning Production/Musicality has always been the focus of Hip Hip.
