Basically they joined up after 2 - 3 years of fighting, Foxtel (Rupert Murdoch) for the rights in the end which was goal from start since he wanted rights to it as this was era of when paytv became more mainstream. Overall sport still feeling effects, I can see it happening also with football since issue is sky/bt sports have had too much power & UEFA is pretty trash organisation.
