The idea behind this is 'founding clubs' get a guaranteed spot in this juiced up mega league - most not even good enough to get/stay in the Champions League.

There is no merit, no qualifying for these clubs, they are guaranteed a spot.

The beauty & chance of the smaller clubs winning is gone.
