Eternal Atake debuted atop the US Billboard 200 dated March 21, 2020, with 288,000 album-equivalent units (including 9,000 pure album sales). The album earned 400 million US streams in its first week, which was the fourth-largest streaming debut at the time of its release.

i see what you mean but

you comparing an artist with a fanbase that's entirely online vs an artist who's fans are the general public

it's gonna seem like more noise when a big internet artist drops. but lil uzi is still not a household name as much as Adele is.

EA and EA deluxe drop was a moment labels have been trying so vehemently to replicate since with the deluxe immediately after the standard

  • Nov 23, 2021

Someone’s lying about these numbers, I’ve seen no buzz

i could argue that Eternal Atake drop eclipses both of those releases. That project along with After Hours are pandemic classics both in terms of commercial and critical success

Eternal atqke was panned as a disappointment. What are you talking about

The album is literally critically acclaimed lol.

Did it deserve it? That’s another story but it was in no way panned

    Not Like Josuke

They wasn’t but why we comparing these ???

Because it highlights how the media makes some of these artists appear bigger than they are.

Her fanbase buys physicals. Her selling mostly physicals isn't a knock on her. The same way that some artists fanbase mostly stream

The physicals they counted were shipped tho. That means they’re counting stuff sent to the stores as apart of her sales.

Everywhere you look across the country the Adele rack at any store is untouched

The week eternal atake dropped it felt like the pandemic stopped no bullshit s*** was an incredible moment

After the delay he really delivered with the whole rollout and the deluxe too. Whole rollout was fun as hell tbh.

  • Nov 23, 2021

Any actually evidence Billboard and HDD are using shipped not sold instead of just RIAA like usual?

What's the source on them counting the physicals sent to the store and not sold ?

Cause she only sold 500k physicals and billboard reports they made 1.2 M physicals to be available at stores, if it was counted like that then her sales should be significantly higher

Oh I didn’t even read op

Damn Adele doing LIL UZI VERT numbers

That ain’t saying much, EA had on of the biggest first weeks of the streaming era, only surpassed by Carter 5 and Scorpion at the time.
