No it doesn’t lol
But we can agree to disagree. I just think you’re overreacting is all
How am I overreacting exactly? If it’s my honest thoughts and feels. Don’t hear me saying the same because you think Pink Tape is the wordt thing ever even tho I like a bunch of stuff on there

You’re acting like this is the worst album ever made lol
I’m glad you like PT. That’s why I say we should just agree to disagree

Not the worst album ever made, but the clear worst thing Uzi has ever put out.. same way I feel about Vultures 2 being Ye’s dead last in quality and a huge step down from the usual bar of expected quality

@early @Hndrxx_Free lmk
so far so good
its not EA2 material but it’s very Uzi coded
I mean why you gotta dk me lol, that makes it seem like you agitated. Isn’t this supposed to be the fun part during a release to discuss and see each others perspectives? That’s more interesting to me than just reading “I like it”, “I hate it” with no further engagement
I don’t agree at all in this specific instance. I wasn’t hype for this project, I’m just saying Uzi’s music have fond memories for me when I was younger. And I never disliked his projects before so that was the standard. My expectations were posted itt yesterday and they weren’t unrealistic. I said I was anticipating for this to be an uncohesive playlist where half would hit and half wouldn’t really stick. Well, ends up nothing sticks for me so ofc that’s a disappointment
I did like WLR the moment it dropped, and didn’t really like Big Steppers but I still don’t like Big Steppers that much outside of a few beautiful songs. The production didn’t do it for me on the majority of Big Steppers.
i liked red too but i can't lie it took multiple listens for me to consider it over die lit. steppers i really wasn't vibing w at all at first but now i straight up think its one of the most honest records a rapper has put out this decade. and it ended up being the highlight for me that year.
all i'm saying is lets just see where this goes before we cement the narrative that uzi fell off or is creatively bankrupt. a lot of people haven't listened and will be turned off by this much hate out of the gate. but fr i appreciate ur responses and u seem to know ur own music taste more than most on here so keep doin u bro.

You said this is his worst project.
What do you want me to say? I’ve said let’s agree to disagree three times.
If you want to discuss, I think PT is his worst. But that’ll just be us going back and forth for hours.
Agree on the Ye point though, albeit he’s been ass for over a decade

First of all I appreciate this. We all just some cool nerds on a forum discussing music more passionately than your average Joe fr lol
Agree with Kendrick being super honest and that was my fav part about the album, but sonically I never clicked with it fully myself
And my take on Uzi being creatively bankrupt doesn’t just come from this. Getting the fans to pick an album cover, getting fans to pick songs for a tracklist, that time when he was in a group chat with fan pages that he would ask for wayyy too much advice etc etc. It just always struck me as weird, since his whole persona when he came on the scene was all about not giving a f*** and being this rockstar making his own wave. So it just makes me sad to see him succumb to his own insecurities as an artist which I feel has hold him back on achieving his potential
tyler dropped chromakopia and was damn near met with immediate universal praise.
does that mean hes regressing too?
i mean imo chromakopia is cool but it sounds sonically too similar to music he's made previously. i think writing wise tyler is in a great place tho. i wouldn't call it regression but the only progress im seeing is in the writing and the sales/respect he's getting. musically i would still go for flower boy or igor and even tracks like runitup off cmiygl before the new stuff.
i try not to hate on new music tho, theres just too many times i've been wrong in the past and i'd rather be more open to seeing how i engage with it later than putting out a negative opinion within my first 2 listens.

Nah it’s cool bro, just the DK smiley always comes off a lil annoyed, at least I’ve always used that as an “no point into talking to you cause you’re being insufferable” lol so I guess that’s just on me
But my thoughts in here are just honest and unfiltired, and mind you, coming from a place of being involved with his music ever since before he blew up
It follows the methodology in the tearout tracks anyway
referring to a rap song as tearout is wild lmao what part of London are you from

Yeah I think you’re reaching with that reply
I was also on the Uzi bandwagon from when No Wait and Motorola dropped.
I think a lot of Uzi fans (especially on the Reddit) are so tied to that 2015-17 era that they refuse to see anything that isn’t that, which’ll lead to some interesting discourse here and there.
That’s why I think PT is garbage - it pandered to those fans as opposed to letting bro just make the music he wants - which is basically what we got with EA
havent read any of the thread or seen any reactions yet. I trust you. how is it?

What part are you from, Big Tobacco?

i gotta go to sleep but those r very valid points on his process rn and regardless of ur take on this project u know what ur talking about so props to u bro.
Disappointed ngl
Just listened in full. It’s solid. Not magnum opus tier or anything but solid.
We need another future collab album
7/10

respect ur opinion bout chromakopia n actually agree w a fair bit of it. I feel you in that new music takes time to grow on me too just after a first listen of EA2 its to me uzis worst project.
But ima give it another spin this weekend just in case
Idk why his engineers keep abusing that high pitched octave effect, like it sounds cool sometimes but not if it's half the runtime
Lowkey Uzi not making a jersey club album is a mega fumble
facts. fans should have let that sound cook rather than telling him don't drop any other songs like that on PT.
leaks like Tap Tap, Too Much on My Mind, and snippets like Opps My Baby should have substituted the CS and Werewolf tracks on PT
Lowkey Uzi not making a jersey club album is a mega fumble
Something he showed to be rather consistent at being able to make a good song doing and just never went full on with it smh
