FHD is an album with a concept, it is not a concept album
Wrong. 4YEO concept is executed a bit more obviously, as the concept is actually outside of J Cole as a person. FHD is a story entirely from Cole’s perspective, so I do understand how sometimes that can feel less “heightened” than someone rapping as an actual character. Both of those are 1000% percent concept albums.
FHD is based on GKMC it’s just not executed as well but it literally tells Cole life story in chonological order

I mean the sequencing does go from colder sonics to warmer summer songs before going back to cold so it kinda makes sense but sequencing doesn't make it a concept album. It's cool either way
