Episode 3 confirms he doesn't know what he's doing and is just throwing random s*** at the wall so people can find meaning in meaningless s***.
Nah he def has a narrative and intentional symbolism in mind, it’s just that no one gets it
Can’t pay me sit through and watch any of these tbh.
Just skim through it do the kim to it
All Drake really needed to do for these Iceman episodes was drop at least 1 fire song at the end of each episode, even if they didn't eventually end up on the album. I know he's got at least a dozen absolute slappers in the vault he's still yet to release. Drop one of those after each episode to keep the hype train going till you're ready to drop the album. That's all.
He's premiering these weak ass songs with lazy beat switches and expecting that to get people excited when with each new episode, it's becoming clearer that there's really no direction to what he's doing and he's just throwing s*** at the wall to see what sticks. Even if there's some direction that we simply don't get yet, the road to that is clearly not nearly interesting enough.
And he didn't even need to announce a new album yet if one wasn't already set to be released. He could have still been prompting $$$4U only till he was ready to pull the trigger on his next solo album.
I'm always so confused at how he thinks out some of these things sometimes.
exactly how I feel lol. None of it really makes sense, the symbolism is completely going over everyone's heads, so I don't think there's anything there. The music is all ass too really
Dope concept that lets down by poor music
Very weak, lazy, repetitive. I don't know why he thinks that's gonna get it done.
And the whisper has gotta go too man.
Honestly I’m just refusing to believe that this is what it is. I feel like he’s got something up his sleeve because it’s not really making sense when you pin it against his pure talent.
Drake actually filming these live is really impressive but lowkey feel like it would be better if they were just pre recorded and just premiered live instead, way too much time spent on the loading screens while he’s moving around / setting things up

I don't agree. It's become clearer with each new episode that he's just making this stuff up as he goes, the "storyline," everything.
Can you tell me one thing from tonight's episode that made any sense to you narrative-wise? Even when viewed in addition to what happened in the first two episodes?
Just skim through it do the kim to it
Doesn’t seem like the music previewed is any good based on the reactions in the thread

Ding ding ding.

F*** the reactions

Yeah pretty disappointing to see this is where it’s at, literally so many beats played in this episode where i was screaming at him to f***ing rap and don’t get me started with the unnecessary beat switch for the 100th times. At some point someone gotta tell him to chill out. I don’t mind the visuals and some unfinished stuff playing for the vibes or whatever but not getting anything by the end of the episode is wack. And oh not getting the song that he previewed on episode 2 is a big fumble. Just don’t know what he’s doing.

Why would he play the album joints instead of saving them? Then yall gon cry about hearing all of the album when it releases
I just don’t think these songs gon make the album, he seems to still be doing this 100 gigs dropping whatever. and I’m unsure why still, maybe it’s to get something to stick but he’s not dropping these on dsps and I just can’t see him showing us alll the album before it drops
if these episodes are all/most songs on the album don’t know how I’ll feel
Whole team around him comfy
40 chilling f***ing models with his new hairline
It’s up 2 Drake to make them good creative calls

😂😂😂
Just not a fan of the drake songs where he’s like “AYY, Yuhh” anymore
the songs he did this on was the worst part of For All The Dogs

I’ll eat my shoe if songs like Which One end up on Iceman. Like he said himself, its just a beat he heard for the first time on the first stream and freestyled over it and it released like 2 weeks later

Maybe it's just me, but I've never really cared much for symbolism. I can't gas up whatever symbolism or imagery he's trying to pass off as meaningful when no one has any idea what he's up to THREE episodes in and it seems more and more like even he doesn't know what he's doing.
It'd be something else if the songs he was playing in the episodes were high quality. They're not. They're serviceable at best.
At the end of the day, intention matters very little when it comes to art. If you're trying to send a message but the recipients of that message don't properly receive and understand your message then you've failed as a communicator. This is one of the reasons why despite Tenet being one of Christopher Nolan's best movies from a technical standpoint, it's one of his least well-received. He made a movie that did a lot without saying anything — at least, saying anything people could properly receive and understand.

It's unfortunate because none of this s*** really matters and if he wanted to take on something like this, he should have had a clearly mapped out plan and executed it much better than he's currently doing. I don't care that it's live-streamed. No one asked him to do that and there are better ways he could have done this that would have led to him making his point better than he's currently doing.
Episode 3 is the worst episode so far because everything about it felt like a huge waste of time. And he played into the stupid Blue Green Red s*** with his IG posts about it, just to get people excited about absolutely nothing.

that’s fair

He always adds songs to albums last minute though, it being a quick addition doesn’t rule out the possibility that it’s on the album
Anyways, here's hoping the next time we hear of anything Iceman related, it's the album release date being announced.
I’m literally losing hype for this album with every episode lol. This rollout actually had great potential but it’s just so dragged out and doesn’t even make sense anymore.
