Damn I’m doing my millionth rewatch and just noticed Dramas first girl in S1 says “tweet tweet” to him. Same line his French GF says to him later on in the series.
Wonder if that was a coincidence or not.
So I'm 2 seasons into the show and idk this show almost feels like it has nothing to say about anything, just wealth p*** and male gaze galore. This show has so much potential for some interesting commentary but barely even tries to say anything at all. I won't even get started on how women are treated on this show. This feels more like a guilty pleasure kind of show. I could be wrong since I'm barely half way through though.
Just read that this show is based off of Mark Wahlberg
everything makes sense now

Lmao this s*** was made back in the early 2000s. You was expecting some progressive PC s***?

It’s someone living out their dreams having a good ass time. It doesn’t need to be any deeper

Entourage is just a fun time. Nothing wrong with that.

no lol I never said that

Also true, I just kept hearing the word classic get thrown around for this, with pretty repetitive storylines and bland characters idk how that's even possible.

I agree, I mean it's not downright terrible. I guess I just kinda went in with high expectations with the way everyone in this thread was praising it. That's my own fault though.

Idk you just seem shocked “I won’t even get started on how women were treated”

To me it’s classic. It’s not my favorite but prolly the show I’ve re-watched the most. If you not sold on it by 2 seasons then I’d say unfortunately it’s not for you.

Honestly i thought it was pretty well known that the show was like that, u really didn't know?
Only thing is I wish they had more storylines of the Vinny/Billy/E team working on more movies together. Feel like they missed out on an opportunity due to making Pablo movie a flop
Idk you just seem shocked “I won’t even get started on how women were treated”
For a plot about the life of an up and coming handsome Hollywood actor, I just didn't expect an entire gender to be used like props, pretty lazy and boring writing. That's all I was saying.
I mean the writing in this show is already questionable, there's almost no conflict for every arc. After two seasons, it just feels like the show's going in circles. Vince gets a movie deal -> Vince doesn't want to do movie because of something -> Vince changes his mind -> Vince does movie -> Happily ever after. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Man look, I'm not trying to bash anyone for liking the show, the show is fun to watch, I'm on season 3 myself. I'm just giving my own thoughts as I'm going through it.

Nah, I knew about this show by name but I had never watched a single episode. This is my first time. 🤞🏿

The show definitely has a basic arc when it comes to Vince (even tho it switches after S4).
But E has nothing but conflict surrounding him. Relationships. Trying to be taking serious as a manager while trying to maintain his best friends career. Etc.
