These white b****es are gonna be so touched by Temporary the thought of it makes me sick
I like Temporary and Somebody Save Me nice to hear em vulnerable after an album of f***ing around
Yeah those aren't bad by any means
The singer on Somebody Save Me is surprisingly a standout feature for me on here, doesn't come off like a corny country crossover or anything, almost sounds like something he wouldve sampled

agreed, the hook on Somebody Save Me is really dope, way better than i expected

I hate them white girl ass anthems
To be fair I will say that those are basically Castle and Arose rehashed, I don't really mind them though

Yeah same, I think its cool he threw those on for the fans who like his more "deep"/emotional stuff or whatever (I enjoy both, hell I enjoy his funny s***, I enjoy it all)
I just got to Temporary. If anyone thinks this is a bad song is trippin. Yeah I’ll prolly skip but still a good track
This is the mfer that was rapping on Renaissance
Yeah how come the rest of the album doesn't do that
i was floored

Yeah I wish he did that for most if not all of the album
I guess the concept is mixing both generations but yeah everytime the OG voice shows up on the album it's fire lol
Lots of people missing the concept
I’m seeing online reviews and comments about the album but haven’t seen one which accurately described the concept I wanted to lay it out:
Marshall is older and matured. He had kids that graduated college and even an adopted non-binary child. He’s pretty progressive tbh.
His youth (Slim Shady) still is a part of him and he acknowledges that brought him fame. He’s inescapably tied to his past.
To allow himself to fully mature and put the past (Slim) to rest, Marshall devises a plan to use our current “cancel culture” to kill off Slim Shady, even if it destroys their combined career.
Throughout the album he “punches down” to achieve this goal, culminating in a confrontation between his two personas during Guilty Conscience 2. At the end of this song he accomplishes his goal and kills his old self, possibly taking himself down in the process.
After this song, his album lyrics become more grown up since Slim is dead. This is why he mentioned in social media "Some of the songs won't make sense if you listen out of order."
I haven’t seen anyone address his use of “cancel culture” as a weapon that he wields against his old persona. While he complains about it, he also sees it as a gift that allows him to shed his old persona and finally mature into the rapper/man who he wants to be.

I agree for the most part but I do think he fumbled the post GC2 part a little. Tracks like Bad One and Tobey wouldn’t feel out of place being earlier in the album
He can definitely thrive if he keeps dropping concept albums. People love Relapse and the reception to this album for the most part has been pretty positive
wait how the f*** is anyone hating this
we got prime em again
Fr we gotta support good s*** while we can and appreciate what were given
This is basically a Relapse leftover
Em was so disrespectful to 50 when he said "These are average raps, I'm keeping the savage batch hidden"
Lmao
I honestly put this at number 4 behind the first three albums
Em now has 4 classics
