Do we think the decision to make another album will be made off what the reception is off this album?
Em most definitely pays attention to the reception to his albums. It’s why he went more pop after people were s***ting on Relapse .
But I definitely don’t think this is his retirement album, I think Em will let everyone know ahead of time when he is dropping his last album .
I do think the reception to this will dictate how the next album sounds though
I’m just praying he revisits The Eminem Show on his next one, it’s the one album from his past that he really hasn’t tried to return to sonically and tone-wise
So I still believe I’ve genuinely outgrown the wild ass subject matters at this point but I can say this is easily his best project in like 15+ years for me. This was a lot of fun to listen to
Is that AI s*** true about his voice? It sounds terrific on this album and he makes a few references to rewinding back to the early 00s on some of these verses.
damn didnt thought of this
actually makes sense
his part on tobey makes more sense after the fact
Really enjoyed this album. I’m not sure what really separates this from his other late career albums though. I feel like this being a “slim shady” album is making me subconsciously enjoy it more than I would if this album was called “Kamikaze”
probably . but lets just hope it doesnt happen because of "somebody save me" predictable success
I don’t think that song will have success. The audience who would like that song already plays the original. It’s such a recent song and this take isn’t unique or anything so there’s no novelty to it
One thing that Brand New Dance proves is that Encore could’ve been a genuinely great album if Em would’ve been more focused at that time
The production and flows of that era were some of his best , but there were just so many dumb nonsensical songs on that album that it really held it back from being great
so are the songs after guilty conscience supposed to be like posthumous
Yeah something like that especially the two songs about Ems actual death but it’s executed poorly and the other songs don’t fit the idea enough.

Same here, and the ai s*** was just a random rumor cause of how good he sounds I think?
Em still one of the best technical rappers alive so the old voice is surprising but we’ve heard him use it RARELY and not for a full lp like this
Guilty Conscience 2 was insane! Any other notable examples of song sequels? lol I can’t think of any atm

i hope u right
Em a real hiphop head. That’s all I wanted from him just pure rap, forget the pop tracks. The whole world already knows you, you don’t need no more pop exposure.
2024 real hiphop back...
Why he can't just do a modern Recovery tho with "Drake" like production and a regular Encore/Relapse flow?
so if i understand good: after track 13 - slim shady is gone?
we need super rare eminem interview where he explains his idea of the concept. that would be interesting to see
He really dropped a Classic
He should never use all them s***ty flows and voices after relapse his discography would been way better

It would be nice to see it. Day one fans and early fans alike really enjoy this s***. It’s something about when certain people, who are seasoned, drop. Even better feeling when the album is good! I really like this album.

Post RECOVERY his s*** went bad real quick 😭
BUT THIS S*** FIRE
