I think it ebbs and flows. Like, both being sensitive and learning to take a joke are important and good life skills, but for some reason we seem to go back and forth between extremes where one is valued over the other.
And since, at least in American and online culture (the only culture I’m directly exposed to) we’ve been in the “be sensitive” era for a while now, I feel like people are getting sick of it, and we’re gonna start prioritizing the fun stuff again.
