I like the sentiment and it’s personal so I can’t argue with his lines
But I feel like saying “you’ll get over me” to your daughter in the situation you passed is kind of a weird way to put it. The idea of healing from the pain is good but I don’t think we want to “get over” our loved ones. It’s a nitpick but it makes me connect less to the song on a personal level
