I feel like there’s no way Alc actually f***s with Eminem’s music
I’m just so curious what a convo about music between them would even sound like
Eminem’s whole identity is “I’m Mr real hip hop” but makes the most watered down tasteless pop rap ever. I feel like Alc hates that s***
He said he constantly sends him beats and he basically never uses them. Which probably annoys him even more that he wasted the one beat he did use on such a trash song with Stepdad. Em is really his own worst enemy

Tbf that is one of the worst alchemist beats I’ve heard in a long time. Song was destined to be trash.
Of all the "better than expected" songs from that album you choose that one?
eminem should never attempt relationship songs they feel so forced and inauthentic
They used to feel so authentic too. The best moments on Encore are the tracks about Kim and Brittany Murphy
Think this is going to be more like a Real Slim Shady, Without Me song. Been a while since he has did one of those after how much he hated We Made You.

There’s a Brittany Murphy song on encore?
Hoping this is good!
You is yt you should have no problem not liking it

That’s what makes it even funnier. Em’s taste in beats can be so f***ing awful

Spend some time is about Brittany (though he references Kim at the end)
Crazy in Love is mostly about Kim but also references Brittany (the 24 year old in question, since she was 24 when they dated)

Berzerk was in this vain but with an 80s twist
You is yt you should have no problem not liking it
I have not liked an eminem song for years my friend
BIGGEST SONGS OF THE SUMMER:

this is true for most people living outside the US.
His old flow with some grown subject matter would be
Holy cow, that would be one of my favorites of all time.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the old flow, which makes the older stuff timeless for me, and the old subject matter has its place for when I’m in a dark or angry mood, but an Eminem album I could listen to casually and/or in an introspective mood that also has the old flow could be insane on a whole new level
This is what we have to thank for all this s***
1 - relapse gets panned, too many accents, ott horrorcore, rapping sub par. Dre beats seem like a waste despite being some of his best ever
2 - recovery - em ditches the horrorcore, the dre beats, the accents, and enlists newer producers for an album which is arguably the polar opposite of relapse. Far better received, includes tracks with pop singers which all seem to chart well
3 - mmlp2... em basically reuses the recovery model but changes the personal themes slightly to focus on relationships more, getting old, and being better than everyone at using a dictionary. Songs with pop singers hit the charts again, album is generally well received by fans
4 - revival.... em tries the same formula as the previous two albums, enlisting pop singers for hit potential, doubling down on stadium esque production, and shifts the themes again to focus on politics, whilst also continuing to talk about the same themes of getting old, his past d*** addictions, and how good he is at rapping. Also features two songs about being trashy and pulling women in shady bars for no other reason besides Dr dre asking him "where's the fun"
5 - kamikaze - revival is totally panned because it unknowingly ran with all the worst features of the previous two albums, realising that despite chart success, people actually don't want to listen to pop hits or pink, eminem then decides to rush together an album that almost completely turns it on its head and features zero pop singers, zero stadium rock beats, and ditches almost all mentions of getting old, politics, or evenings at the bar with white trash women. Essentially zero fun, rushed, shorter, smaller scale
6 - mtbmb - eminem is lost at this point, both previous albums suck according to almost everyone, and a follow up is needed quickly otherwise his legacy will be tainted. He looks to the previous albums for a formula to stick to. Realises people don't want the pop hits anymore, are sick of the recovery model, and realises that people are starting to come around to relapse. Decides to enlist the relapse model, ditches the accents, bloats out the tracklist, and almost manages to make a good album.
7 - present day... eminem has been drip feeding us with songs from his past and present which are previously unheard, most of which are produced by dre, interestingly so. The best reviewed tracks on mtbmb were all touched by the dre hands. He's hopefully realised by now that rushing an album is a mistake, accents are a mistake, horrendous pop features are a mistake, over the top horrorcore is a mistake, and that stadium rock beats are also a mistake. Consequently I hope he has realised that dre production is actually what we want and that relapses issues are all his fault, that shorter albums are more listenable, and hopefully that we are all tired of hearing the same old s***
The only worry I have is this god damned cover art reading like it's a fortnight dlc pack
I thought the horrorcore, accents, etc. fit the Relapse beats like a glove personally
That being said, this is all pretty accurate and sad to read out when put so succinctly.
There are gems on all of those albums, and I go as far to say that I consider Relapse, Recovery, MMLP2, and MTBMB good albums, but I hope he’s done trying to please others/give the fans what they think they want. I always think audience outsourced art is typically worse than personal and authentic art.
That being said, I also believe that from what we’ve seen, he’s finally getting confident and inspired enough again to make something from the heart with a clear vision.
So I am hopeful and excited; and no matter what I’ll always love Em
Relapse Accents >>>
he can do that voice too
Discombulated is a recent good song he made
Relapse Accents >>>
allowed him to get so elastic and inventive when it comes to rhyme schemes. almost every song on there has a part or multiple parts where its just mind boggling flows and cadences. even when the content or sound of the song isn't great
he can do that voice too
