Almost all of the serious tracks were recorded in 02 and 03. Almost all of the joke tracks were recorded in the summer of 04.

Wow this track is really in the streets, all the older and younger people at my work have been talking about it. Even people who haven’t paid attention to other Eminem stuff in a while.

I guess I meant in terms of balancing subject matter and overall production, Eminem show seems his most successful album in combining the crazy outlandish s*** and the more grounded introspective/motivational tracks

Imo over the last decade he released songs that could be at that level, like Castle for example

Now could he make a full album consistent enough to touch TES? We'll see. Houdini might not be there yet but the fact that he sounds great and over this type of production makes me hopeful the he's locked in for TDoSS. + Given the album title I think he can get something real interesting, cinematic like his earlier albums. (Which is something I think is lacking from his recent ones)

all i care is his flows and production. if he can get rid of those pop garbage records i am all in. this first single shows that he still can do it with his classic formula (everything before recovery)
