can someone give me a tldr of the biden thing
basically the biden campaign team asked twitter mods to take down hunter's nudes, nothing has been shown to involve the FBI by Taibbi's admission
BTW trump's campaign also had access to this feature and most likely used it as well
its basically a ploy by Elon to distract from his bad job at running twitter to get props from his buddies on the right
statistically, since he took over, hate speech has increased significantly and he has unbanned en masse many neo-nazis including Andrew Anglin and Patrick Casey (both were famously involved in the infamous #UniteTheRight event)
lol
I think "of any government" is to the idea that Russia was behind the laptop creation and creation of documents. So what he is saying here actually doesn't contradict itself.
like its funny when people try to act like nothing between wikileaks, biden laptop or consistent reporting from various people has value based on partisan lines
kind of scary that everything gets turned into "thats a conspiracy" or try to discredit it immediately
Honestly, I can speak anecdotally from my lurking of Twitter since Elon took over
There has been a lot more open hate speech in the replies, especially of Jews and black people that are seen to be on the left

i wonder why that is

the big story if you boil it down is that something everyone already knew was happening behind the scenes was actually happening and twitter denied it publicly for some reason
it doesn't even really matter, it didn't make any difference functionally
the people who supported the suppression of the story did so independently of twitter, they literally cheered it on when twitter did it, twitter didn't need to feign neutrality, the people supporting it didn't think neutrality mattered for it to be moral. the inverse people were mad regardless of how twitter justified it. them denying it publicly while stuff like this passed behind the scenes is really just absurd, it's like they felt a sense of shame or moral responsibility to feign neutrality even though partisan wise no one gave a s*** to begin with since everyone knew what was happening from the beginning.

basically the illusion of being impartial. Which not only affects what tweets up but the algorithm, trends itself

Yeah, it's like the thing is that all those people (before Elon took over) they would be banned very quickly once they were tweaking the f*** out, and obviously not participating in good-faith discourse
Now, it's open season for whatever sockpuppet army you wanna throw slurs at someone with

it's the illusion of being impartial but it doesn't even make sense that they did so. like does MSNBC feign neutrality (or alternatively even a company like FOX)? companies just outright state their political leanings all the time. twitter not doing so feels redundant because everyone already knew the political leanings existed to begin with.
You've been b****ing about free speech for weeks now. Elon exposes the current administration for directly suppressing Tweets and that's your response?
Braindead lib.

but wikileaks was both of them like there are many things that aren't necessarily partisan and calls out both of them that gets covered up

Jack Dorsey is very libertarian (in the Rothbard/AnCap sense), he's tweeted out links to Mises and stuff like that, but he's not stupid like Musk. Jack knows how to play the game.
Jack's Twitter went wherever the $$$ was

lol this amount of framing is unreal

well the stuff about wikileaks can be more chalked up to the govt cooperation with, which anyone also could have likely told you. it wasn't really a secret that intelligence and law enforcement had access to barring info on twitter, so like why wouldn't the govt in turn

and they all just ignore the hypocrisy or the random bullshit like "$8. it's time the elite stop hoarding the blue checks. it's for everyone" lmao

well yeah it's not exactly a secret that $ is why western institutions seem to "lean liberal", there's a reason disney puts out movies about gay teenagers and not about school shooters and the "fall of the west" or something, only schizos think its because of an intrinsic connection to that instead of simply because of the monetary implication. but i mean that doesn't really deny the trend. if you put a lot of people who believe something in one space they don't suddenly stop believing it just because they're being paid or because they're "managed". like look at a largely right wing project like Urbit by comparison.

People really don't care about the truth anymore so much as partisan s***. Like its hyper partisan. Both sides the truth can come out about either side and they will immediately try to discredit or frame it to fit whatever they believe. Whether it be discrediting the journalist, platform, source whatever it may be. People rather accept that than the idea they could even possibly be in anyway be manipulated by either party. All while living in their respective echo chamber. Then we got fact checkers and content warnings also compromised
in short we are f***ed

i agree with this assessment

I agree, I believe "impartiality" doesn't exist, it literally can't exist, the personal views of an individual will always influence their output
You can reduce it, but you can't be robotic and completely remove yourself, because that information is tainted by some type of personal bias in how it is perceived.

i can only assume it's cause twitter is an information hub and they want to seem clean and trustworthy, and keep away ideas of collusion/risk to security. especially after facebook.
maybe it actually makes most ppl believe them, so it's worth it for them. i agree with you, i'm just trying to see their logic lol
