i do find it funny how journalists and mainstream media have been pushing this “Twitter is gonna break” “Twitter will go down” “RIP Twitter” narrative since the takeover and layoffs
i mentioned the hyperloop to tie in with my point that he proposes things that don’t work out, (nor make much sense, really) but you got a couple of likes out of your strawman so well played i guess?
it’s pretty sad that you’ve bought into the “real life Tony Stark” thing but to each their own ig

CNN has a new section of their website dedicated to attacking Elon & claiming Twitter will blow up
They’re no better than Conservative media

And people run with it
The app is still running?
Clearly they didn’t really need all the people they fired
The rest of your points are pretty valid i’ll admit. Still think there’s a lot more direct investments we can do to benefit human life and a lot of space travel reeks of man child fantasies.
But IF humanity gets wiped out, it will be by its own doing. Kind of cruel to go to other places and repeat the same cycle, dont you think? Humanity is pretty much a plague after all.
Bases on the moon is another story but i stand by my point that if we cant hack it on our own planet we dont deserve another one ygm
I agree with you!

Stop thinking in binaries
Not everything is black & white
I can support what Elon has done at Tesla & SpaceX and still criticize what his dumb ass on the daily, especially with what he is doing on Twitter.

aside from Elon being very divisive, there’s a lot of people out there with a vested interest in making sure his restructuring fails. If his barebones staffing model is successful the rest of Big Tech may follow suit.

why are yall picking out parts of my argument and misconstruing them?
im saying in general, elon has a history of failing to deliver on promises + getting credit for things he was not a part of, (which is where some of the hate comes from) i gave you a single example to undergird my point, i could start digging and pulling sources but im not really interested in getting in a cold war with elon stans, it'd be a waste of time
im sure he's done some "good", (
) but it's not as cut and dry as his fans like to push it
