well one of the main discrepancies people have with Elon is that heās usually not very involved with certain companiesā successes and yet his fanboys give him all the credit despite his obv lack of actual scientific knowledge on these issues, thatās not even getting into the things heās actually proposed which havenāt even worked out

Itās still like having Satellite TV. Any large clouds or storms come thru its connection loses signal, but Its probably better than what most rural ISPs can offer at the moment. Star Links days are numbered in the US though because Electric Co-OPs are using RDOF funding to put in fiber.

Other users itt were talking about space travel like it in itself was crazy, and thatās why I posted what I did. Space travel and saving the world (climate change, etc) go hand in hand to me and one has never taken away from the other to my knowledge. So the space travel slander (one user called it a sci-fi fetish?lol) was weird. Itās always been a net positive, and the goals involving space are as well
Investing money into space travel definitely takes away from things that are more important to do on earth, plus shooting a rocket burns a s*** ton of fuel, but i dont really care its not like i have a say in it, space is cool i guess
