    so everyone just overreacted?

it was unrealistic to think a site that big that was functioning just fine was going to go poof over night

  • Nov 18, 2022

both sides of this are pretty intolerable tbh.

The melodrama last night had me in tears

“Just in case I don’t have anywhere else to share my s***ty opinions with you, here are my IG, TikTok, and YT handles”

Folks were treating this waaaaaaaaay too seriously lmao

Some of the most pathetic s*** I have ever seen on a social media platform. It really made me think that it was for the best that Twitter was/is "dying". Lotta them people need to go tf outside

You never see a big social media/website like this truly die. Myspace, yahoo, AOL are all still around in different forms. I think Twitter will be good in the long run. I'm pretty confident most people who actively use twitter won't enjoy alternatives.

Not defending Elon, but it really stuck out to me last night how a lot of millennials just assumed the site was gonna crash primarily because they definitely DO NOT like Elon and also because they read a leak from an “insider.”

Having an emotional opinion about someone can lead you down roads of falsehoods. Do all these same folks who criticized and wrote thinkpieces about QAnon & Trump not remember how silly all of those people looked at the end of the day?

Sure, this issue isn’t nearly as serious, but the gist of what happened is the same.

  • Nov 18, 2022

I'm honestly confused by all the overreaction and "crashing" talk yesterday. Maybe I misunderstood some of the info put out there, but wasn't this supposedly going to be happening next week?

the only people who honestly care about this are peoples whos lives revolve around it.

    Twitter is fine

There's a difference between cutting down to the essentials and where Twitter is right now, entire teams are gone, their best and brightest have left, the site deals with a far larger userbase than it did in 2012, this guy's a moron

It isn't silly to share other ways to be reached there seems to be a massive exodus of employees after half of the company was fired. Especially when the CEO is the one who came up with Twitter Blue and scared all the advertisers from his website.

Then, yeah, Twitter probably won't disappear—but it may crash in the following days.

Twitter is more in danger of a huge hack than it is fully crashing soon

  • Nov 18, 2022

‘actually put in work’ = work longer hours for no extra pay, put up with asinine and nonsensical methods of evaluating your contribution, never criticising your boss or the company’s mission whatsoever, thinking you will lose your job if you dont meet unrealistic deadlines, covering the knowledge and responsibilities of your ex-colleagues, and above all else, not leaving to join another company where you dont have to put up with any of that. lol

as if no company has ever cut head count drastically and required everyone to work harder hours because we are in a RECESSION

jesus how f***ing dumb are you people

    twitter blue existed before elon.

can anyone link me to these super hard conditions Twitter employees were faced with by Elon? They had to return to office but what else?

  • Nov 18, 2022

folk are now saying the collapse will be gradual and not overnight. and also apparently that is not backtracking.

i guess right now everyone is right, twitter could collapse and twitter will be fine.

    this is odd.

what if twitter won’t crash because they removed a lot of warez trash from the site now?

maybe a crash only happens when users hit the capacity of a major world event? I guess we will find out soon 😒

it's hard to tell exactly what is going on and at this point i'm tired of guessing.

Unironically vomitting well tread stereotypes and calling other people sheep while viewing oneself as a ““freethinker”” is the pinncale of sheep behavior
