Like if they’re not gonna survive a recession unless 50% of their revenue is subscriptions, then surely that would have also been the case a few months back no?
he bought them at a price that was super over valued, and the company had already been looking at a grim financial future. i believe the company has operated at a loss for a while tho.
but the entire anyone can get a blue check + "free speech" hill he's trying to die on is making a ton of advertisers and partners pull their money/support out of the company
twitter wasn't doing hot but probably would've survived, but it might not with the way elon has started his tenure

H1B visa holders could have to leave the country if they don't. Also the tech job market is rough right now, few major companies have had layoffs in the last week
