This is what I mean though. Credit where it’s due for donating half a mil to the school district, but his original tweet was specifically talking about every home in Flint having drinking water.
That’s what he does. Bare minimum to get some amount of praise and irrational defenders for a promise no one made him make when he could do much much more without even denting his wealth.
And if there’s one thing that does make corrupt/unwilling governments move, it’s money. See: the fed. He could have done much more and should have if he was going to clout chase off the back of a crisis like he did.

I feel what you're saying. Numbers don't do a good enough job at explaining the meaning behind why things are the way they are but people pretty much worship science and statistics in our culture when really we still have a lot to learn some questions science can't explain

yes it is... if it can't be reduced and quantified by science it is seen as unfeasible to proceed with it, that's why Daniel Dennett attempts to dismiss consciousness as an illusion, it's literally sweeping it under the rug in an attempt to preserve the reductionist thesis
